The beautiful town of Westford is rich in history and well known for its 158-year-old covered bridge as the Brown River runs throughout town. Founded in 1763, Westford has close to 2,000 residents today. As performed by its first settlers, farming and dairy are still common trades today in this agricultural town.
The town provides a summer concert series on the common, a meeting point in Westford. The Westford Farmers' Market, referred to as "one of the most beautiful small Farmers' Markets in Vermont", is another popular attraction and is held on Fridays from June through October each year.
Westford is included in the Chittenden Central Supervisory Union for education in combination with Essex and Essex Junction. Westford School is right in town for students preK-8, and then students advance to attend Essex High School located in Essex Junction.
